Summer Sizzles with Entertainment and Events in Grand Boulevard

Coastal Culture series features Theatre Thursdays and NWF Ballet

Miramar Beach, Fla., (May 28, 2015) - Grand Boulevard's Coastal Culture series continues its ongoing calendar of events with the debut of Theatre Thursdays, presented by Emerald Coast Theatre Company. ECTC presents "A Midsummer Night's Dream ala Commedia," a hilarious and family friendly take on William Shakespeare's play every Thursday, May 28 - July 30 at 8 p.m. in Grand Park. The performances are free and open to the public.

Abrakadoodle kicks off the night at 7 p.m. with their own brand of entertainment, providing face painting and fairy and king crafts for kids, playing perfectly into the night's Shakespeare theme. Bring your favorite chair and enjoy an entertaining night out under the summer sky.

"Grand Boulevard's magical setting on the Grand Lawn is the perfect place for this adaptation of "A Midsummer Night's Dream." The classical language will appeal to the most refined palate and the costumes and clowns will thrill the children. Grand Boulevard's Farmers' Market is now open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Grand Park through Labor Day. This outdoor market features dozens of unique vendors offering mostly locally sourced food-based items such as produce, eggs, grass-fed beef and chicken, local honey, pickled vegetables, sweets, and gourmet jams. Specialty soaps and lotions are also sold.

Another summer blockbuster will be presented in June with "Ballet at Twilight" when Northwest Florida Ballet presents an evening of classical ballet and contemporary dance featuring international guest artists in Grand Park, June 27, 7:30 p.m. This event is also free and open to the public.

Coastal Culture is the title under which the ongoing events' calendar for Grand Boulevard at Sandestin<> is presented. The Town Center presents numerous large and small scale events throughout the year with an emphasis on cultural arts of all genres. The Coastal Culture calendar includes live theatrical, dance and music performances. Major destination events such as South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival and South Walton Fashion Week are presented by Grand Boulevard as part of their Coastal Culture program. The Grand Boulevard Farmers' Market and specialty programming for holidays, including Festival of Trees round out the calendar. The addition of an ongoing events' calendar, which comprises Coastal Culture, is designed to enhance the overall experience of visiting the Town Center. Many of the Coastal Culture events are free and open to the public and others serve as fundraisers for area charities, in keeping with Grand Boulevard's philosophy of strong community partnerships.
